The Shark Stratos is the best Shark robot vacuum for most people in our data. It is the only Shark that pairs a HEPA filter with a base that empties itself and also washes and dries the mop, and it holds a 4.69 rating from 199 Google Shopping reviews. If you want to spend the least, get the Shark Matrix Plus instead: it lists HEPA, a bagless self-emptying base and sonic mopping at the lowest price of any robot vacuum we list, backed by 1,794 reviews. As of October 2026 we list 7 Shark models, 4 vacuum-only and 3 vacuum-and-mop. Card prices are live.
Our Picks: The Best Shark Robot Vacuum for Each Need
Each label below matches a need that a spec field or the product title supports, and each model gets one label.
Best overall: Shark Stratos
Buy the Stratos if you have hard floors and pets, want one robot to vacuum and mop, and want to spend little time on upkeep.
- Base: its NeverTouch Self-Cleaning Base empties the bin and also refills, washes and dries the mop, with hands-free cleaning listed at up to 30 days.
- Other listed features: a HEPA filter, Sonic Mopping and Google Assistant support.
- Shopper rating: 4.69 (199).
Compared with the vacuum-only Matrix rv2310ae, you gain mopping, HEPA and a rating 0.7 stars higher. The catch: it sits in Shark's top tier, lists only Google Assistant, and is more than carpet-only homes need.
Lower-priced: Shark Matrix Plus
Choose the Matrix Plus if price comes first but you still want a self-emptying base and light mopping.
- Listed features: a bagless base, HEPA filtration, Sonic Mopping, a self-cleaning brushroll, a pet focus and Amazon Alexa.
- Navigation: Precision Home Mapping with 360 LIDAR vision.
- Shopper rating: 4.04 from 1,794 reviews, the most of any Shark we list.
Stepping up to the Stratos buys a base that also refills, washes and dries the mop, plus a rating 0.65 stars higher. Skip the Matrix Plus if hands-free mop care matters to you, because its listing names no mop-washing base.
Allergies (HEPA), vacuum-only: Shark Navigator RV2110
This model suits allergy-conscious households that don't need mopping.
- Listed features: a HEPA filter, SmartPath Navigation and a self-cleaning brushroll.
- Shopper rating: 5.0 from 427 reviews, the highest in the lineup.
The Matrix Plus sits in the same lower price tier. Choosing the RV2110 over it means giving up a bagless base, mopping and Alexa support in exchange for that rating. Caveats: no self-empty base, voice assistant or pet focus is listed, and this is a different model from the self-emptying Shark Navigator.
Hands-off vacuum-only: Shark Matrix rv2310ae
Pick the rv2310ae for carpet- and rug-heavy homes that want a self-emptying robot vacuum without paying for a mop.
- Base: bagless, holding up to 45 days of dirt.
- Other listed features: 360° LiDAR vision, a self-cleaning brushroll, recharge-and-resume, a pet focus, and both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
- Shopper rating: 3.99 (583).
Against the Matrix rv2300ae, it lists more features, has more than ten times the reviews, and was priced lower at our last check. Caveat: no HEPA filter is listed, and its rating trails the three picks above.
How the Shark Lineup Is Organized
At our last check, 3 of Shark's 7 listings sat in the lower third of all robot vacuums we list, 2 in the middle third and 2 in the upper third. Within Shark's own prices, they fall into three tiers:
- Lower tier (2 models): Matrix Plus and Navigator RV2110. Both list a HEPA filter. Only the Matrix Plus adds a bagless self-emptying base, mopping and a voice assistant.
- Middle tier (3 models): Matrix rv2310ae, Matrix rv2300ae and Shark Navigator. All three are vacuum-only and all list a self-emptying base. None lists HEPA.
- The rv2310ae names 360° LiDAR.
- The Navigator names object detection and a row-by-row pattern.
- The rv2300ae lists little beyond its bagless base and pet focus.
- Top tier (2 models): Stratos and PowerDetect ThermaCharged. Both are vacuum-and-mop combos whose bases wash and dry the mop. The PowerDetect lists 185°F wash water and 175°F drying air. Only the Stratos lists HEPA.
Titles share two family names, Matrix and Navigator, but specs vary within each family. Compare listings, not names.
Worth paying for: the Stratos's self-cleaning mop base, if you have hard floors. It is the clearest case where paying more gets you both an extra listed feature and a higher rating (4.69 vs. 4.04).
Most buyers can skip: the middle tier. Those models cost more than the Matrix Plus, list no HEPA or mopping, and are rated 3.67–3.99.
Shark Robot Vacuums Compared Side by Side
For Shark, the self-empty base column matters most: six of seven models list one, and that is where upkeep differs. HEPA appears on only three listings (Stratos, Matrix Plus, Navigator RV2110), so it is covered in the picks rather than as a column. Every Shark vacuum robot we list appears below.
| Model | Best for | Type | Price position | Shopper rating (reviews) | Self-empty / bagless base | Voice assistant | For pets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shark Stratos | Best overall | Vacuum + mop | Top | 4.69 (199) | Yes, bagless; also washes and dries mop | Google Assistant | Yes |
| Shark Matrix Plus | Lower-priced | Vacuum + mop | Budget | 4.04 (1,794) | Yes, bagless | Amazon Alexa | Yes |
| Shark Navigator RV2110 | Allergies (HEPA), vacuum-only | Vacuum-only | Budget | 5.0 (427) | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
| Shark Matrix rv2310ae | Hands-off vacuum-only | Vacuum-only | Mid | 3.99 (583) | Yes, bagless (up to 45 days) | Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa | Yes |
| Shark PowerDetect ThermaCharged | Hot-water mop washing; few reviews | Vacuum + mop | Top | 4.67 (31) | Yes (bag type not listed) | Not listed | Not listed |
| Shark Navigator | Carpet-focused vacuuming | Vacuum-only | Mid | 3.88 (161) | Yes (bag type not listed) | Voice Control (assistant not named) | Not listed |
| Shark Matrix rv2300ae | Skip: fewer features than rv2310ae, fewer reviews | Vacuum-only | Mid | 3.67 (53) | Yes, bagless | Not listed | Yes |
The Stratos leads on listed features and rating. The Matrix rv2300ae is the weakest value: it lists fewer features than the rv2310ae, was priced higher at our last check, and has the lowest rating in the lineup. The PowerDetect's 4.67 rests on just 31 reviews, too few to lean on.
For homes that want one Shark to vacuum and mop with minimal upkeep, the Shark Stratos is the pick.
Vacuum-Only or Vacuum-and-Mop: Which Shark Type to Get
Shark's listings split into 4 vacuum-only models and 3 vacuum-and-mop combos. What the combos add:
- Sonic Mopping on the Matrix Plus and Stratos.
- Mop-washing bases in the top tier. The Stratos lists Autolift Technology and up to 30 days hands-free. The PowerDetect ThermaCharged lists a NeverTouch Pro Base with 185°F wash water, 175°F drying air and DryGuard protection, but only 31 reviews.
A combo earns its keep on mostly hard floors with light daily grime. If your home is mostly carpet and rugs, a vacuum-only model saves you mop upkeep. One example is the Shark Navigator, whose listing names carpet cleaning as its top use.
Our Shark robot vacuum and mop guide compares all three combos in depth. Our roundup of the best robot vacuum and mop combos covers other brands.
Owning a Shark Robot Vacuum: Bags, Filters, Parts and Support
Bags. Four Shark listings state a bagless base: Matrix Plus, Stratos, Matrix rv2310ae and Matrix rv2300ae. Going by those listings, you won't be buying dust bags for them. The Shark Navigator and PowerDetect ThermaCharged list self-emptying bases without saying whether they are bagged or bagless. Check before you buy, because bags would be a recurring purchase. The Navigator RV2110 lists no base.
Filters. HEPA filters are listed on the Matrix Plus, Stratos and Navigator RV2110. Filters of this type are generally replaced periodically, so confirm that replacements are available for your model.
Capacity. Listed capacity is 0.05 gal on the rv2310ae and 0.09 gal on the Matrix Plus and Stratos.
Brushes and pads. The Matrix Plus, Stratos, rv2310ae and RV2110 list self-cleaning brushrolls. These are designed to cut down on hair wrap, but brushes still wear out. The three combos also add mop pads to your shopping list.
Our data has no Shark-specific replacement parts, so check Shark's site for:
- The warranty term and what it covers, for the robot and the base separately
- App and voice-assistant support for your exact model number
- Availability of filters, brushrolls, side brushes, mop pads and any base bags
- How repairs or replacements are handled, and who pays for shipping
- Whether parts for your model are sold by Shark or only by third parties
Who Should Skip Shark, and What to Buy Instead
Shark ratings in our data range from 3.67 to 5.0 across 3,248 reviews. Three gaps may still send you elsewhere:
- You want a listed suction figure. No Shark listing states one. The Dreame D30 Ultra lists 25,000Pa suction and a PowerDock with up to 100-day auto-empty plus mop washing and drying. It is rated 4.87 (200).
- You want a mop-washing base with a long review history. Shark's top-tier combos have 199 and 31 reviews. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 has 2,699 reviews, the most of any robot vacuum we list, and is rated 4.59. Its base handles dust disposal, water refilling and mop cleaning.
- You use Siri. No Shark lists it. The Roborock QV 35A lists Siri and Amazon Alexa, a pet focus and an all-in-one docking station. It is rated 4.6 (1,900).
How We Picked
Picks come from current product listings, their spec fields, and Google Shopping shopper ratings with review counts, as of October 2026. We weighed each model on four things: fit for a specific need, spec evidence, rating strength, and price position within Shark's lineup. This is a research guide, not hands-on testing. Card prices update live, and specs missing from a listing appear as "Not listed". To compare across brands, see our best robot vacuum picks.
Bottom Line: Which Shark Robot Vacuum to Buy
The Shark Stratos is the Shark to buy if you want one robot that vacuums, mops and cleans its own mop, with HEPA and a 4.69 rating behind it. If budget decides, the Matrix Plus keeps HEPA, a bagless base and mopping at the lowest price we list. If you don't mop and want HEPA, take the Navigator RV2110. If you need a listed suction figure, Siri support or a longer review history, the alternatives above fit better.
