Which Dreame Robot Vacuum Should You Buy? Models Compared

Dreame robot vacuums compared: how each model differs, shopper ratings, upkeep, and which one fits your floors, pets and budget.

Updated: 9 min read

The Dreame D30 Ultra is the best Dreame robot vacuum for most people. It has the lineup's highest shopper rating, 4.87 from 200 Google Shopping reviews, and lists 25,000Pa suction plus a PowerDock that auto-empties for up to 100 days and washes and dries the mop. If you want to spend less or you have pets, the L10s Ultra Gen 2 sits lower in Dreame's price range, lists a Pet Area Care Mode, and has 4.59 stars from 2,699 reviews. As of October 2026, our listings include 7 Dreame models: all are vacuum-and-mop combos and none is vacuum-only. Card prices update live.

Our Picks: The Best Dreame Robot Vacuum for Each Need

Each label below is backed by a spec field, the feature list or the rating in the listing, and each model gets only one label.

Best overall: Dreame D30 Ultra

This is for mixed hard floors and rugs where you want the dock to do the dirty work. It lists 25,000Pa suction, tied for the highest Dreame figure. It also lists an all-in-one PowerDock with up to 100-day auto-empty, mop washing and drying, edge cleaning and an anti-tangle brush. It is the only Dreame here that names both Google Assistant and Alexa. It is rated 4.87 from 200 Google Shopping reviews. The L40 Ultra Gen 2 sits in the same middle tier with the same listed suction, but the D30 adds auto-empty wording and a far stronger rating (the L40 has 3.83). Caveat: no HEPA filter or pet mode is listed.

Pets and hair: Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2

This is for pet households that want a widely reviewed dock model at a lower price position. The listing marks it For Pets and names:

  • Pet Area Care Mode and Smart Carpet Strategy
  • RoboSwing Mop Extension and 32 adjustable water levels
  • A base that handles dust disposal, water refilling and mop cleaning for up to 75 days

Its 4.59 rating comes from 2,699 Google Shopping reviews, more than all other Dreame models combined. Compared with the D30 Ultra, you give up listed suction (10,000Pa vs. 25,000Pa), mop drying and a listed voice assistant. Caveat: no HEPA filter is listed.

Lowest price: Dreame D20 Pro Plus

This is for buyers who want the least expensive Dreame in our listings and the longest gap between dock check-ins. It lists:

  • 13,000 Pa suction and an extending side brush
  • An auto-empty base with hands-free care for up to 150 days
  • Alexa support
  • A capacity of 1.32 gal, the largest figure in this lineup

Next to the L10s Ultra Gen 2, it lists more suction but no mop washing, pet mode or water control. Caveat: its 4.38 rating rests on only 36 Google Shopping reviews, the thinnest count in the lineup. Check the product page for how it mops.

Hard-floor mopping: Dreame X40 Ultra

This is for homes that are mostly hard floor, with some rugs the robot has to cross. The listing names:

  • A Removable & Liftable Mop
  • MopExtend RoboSwing and SideReach
  • A 7-in-1 self-cleaning station and smart dirt detection
  • 12,000Pa suction and Alexa support

It holds 4.36 from 71 Google Shopping reviews. Compared with the D30 Ultra in the same middle tier, it adds the liftable, removable mop but lists less than half the suction and a lower rating. Caveat: the listing doesn't say whether the station empties the dustbin, so confirm that before buying.

How the Dreame Lineup Is Organized

Within Dreame's own listings, the 7 models fall into three price tiers. Every one is a vacuum-and-mop combo, and only 3 of the 7 name a voice assistant.

  • Lower tier (D20 Pro Plus, L10s Ultra Gen 2): both list a base that empties the dustbin. Capacities are 1.32 and 1.19 gal, and suction is 13,000 Pa and 10,000Pa. Only the L10s lists mop cleaning and a pet focus.
  • Middle tier (D30 Ultra, L40 Ultra Gen 2, X40 Ultra):
    • The D30 and L40 both list 25,000 Pa.
    • The L40 adds carpet wording (Surface Type: Carpets, customizable carpet care), a DuoScrub mopping system and camera-free navigation.
    • The X40 lists 12,000Pa and the liftable mop.
  • Top tier (X50 Ultra, X60 Max Ultra Complete): both list obstacle avoidance.
    • The X50 adds 20,000Pa and 360 Navigation.
    • The X60 lists an ultra-slim body and extendable edge-cleaning components, but no suction figure.

The titles show one naming pattern. All 6 models with "Ultra" in the name list a dock that cleans the mop. The D20 Pro Plus lists an auto-empty base only.

Worth paying for: a step up to an Ultra dock with mop cleaning. The L10s gets you there within the lower tier, and the D30 adds drying and 100-day auto-empty in the middle tier.

Most buyers can skip: the top tier. Both top-tier models rate below the D30 (4.24 and 3.92 vs. 4.87), and neither lists more suction.

Dreame Robot Vacuums Compared Side by Side

The rating column matters most for this lineup. Suction figures cluster high, but review counts range from 36 to 2,699, which changes how much each rating tells you.

Model Best for Type Price position Shopper rating (reviews) Self-empty base Suction (as listed) Capacity (as listed)
D30 Ultra Best overall Vacuum + mop Mid 4.87 (200) Yes, up to 100-day auto-empty 25,000 Pa 1.19 gal
L10s Ultra Gen 2 Pets and hair Vacuum + mop Budget 4.59 (2,699) Yes, dust disposal up to 75 days 10,000 Pa 1.19 gal
D20 Pro Plus Lowest price Vacuum + mop Budget 4.38 (36) Yes, auto-empty base (150-day hands-free care) 13,000 Pa 1.32 gal
X40 Ultra Hard-floor mopping Vacuum + mop Mid 4.36 (71) Not listed (7-in-1 self-cleaning station) 12,000 Pa 0.85 gal
X50 Ultra Top tier; D30 lists more suction, higher rating Vacuum + mop Top 4.24 (142) Yes, Auto-Empty 20,000 Pa 0.13, 0.85, 1.19 gal
X60 Max Ultra Complete Skip: top price, least documented Vacuum + mop Top 3.92 (42) Not listed (multifunctional dock) Not listed 0.26 gal
L40 Ultra Gen 2 Carpet focus; lowest rating Vacuum + mop Mid 3.83 (66) Not listed (self-cleaning dock) 25,000 Pa Not listed

The D30 Ultra pairs the top rating with the top listed suction, and it does so from the middle tier. The X60 Max Ultra Complete is the weakest documented: it has a top-tier price position, no listed suction and 42 reviews. For most mixed-floor homes that want a dock that empties, washes and dries, the D30 Ultra is the one to get.

Vacuum-Only or Vacuum-and-Mop: Which Dreame Type to Get

There is no vacuum-only choice in Dreame's current listings. All 7 models are vacuum-and-mop combos, and three of them (X40 Ultra, X50 Ultra, L40 Ultra Gen 2) also mark Wet / Dry as Yes.

Here is what the extra hardware adds, according to the listings:

  • A mop extension that swings toward edges (RoboSwing on the L10s and X40)
  • A DuoScrub mopping system (L40)
  • A mop that lifts and removes (X40)
  • Mop washing and drying (D30)
  • Mop self-cleaning (X50)
  • 32 water levels (L10s)

Combos pay off on hard floors, such as tile, laminate and sealed wood, where a film of dust and light kitchen grime builds up between deeper cleans.

If your home is mostly carpet, you'd be paying for mop hardware and a wash dock you'll rarely use. The L40 lists carpet care, but a vacuum-only robot from another brand (see below) is the leaner fit.

Owning a Dreame Robot Vacuum: Bags, Filters, Parts and Support

No Dreame listing in our data says whether its base is bagless or uses bags, and none lists a HEPA filter. Four models list auto-emptying: the D30 Ultra, L10s Ultra Gen 2, D20 Pro Plus and X50 Ultra. Listed capacity figures range from 0.13 gal to 1.32 gal. The X50 lists three figures and the L40 lists none.

Because every model mops, expect more recurring purchases than with a vacuum-only robot:

  • Dust bags, if the base uses them
  • Filters
  • Side and main brushes
  • Mop pads or other mop parts

Docks that wash mops also need regular cleaning. Our listings don't currently include Dreame-made or Dreame-compatible replacement parts, so check availability before you buy.

Check on Dreame's official site:

  • Warranty length, and whether it covers the dock as well as the robot
  • Whether the base uses disposable bags, and where to buy them
  • Availability of filters, brushes and the exact mop pads for your model
  • App support and voice-assistant compatibility (only 3 of 7 listings name one)
  • How repairs work: mail-in service, local service, or parts only

If the dock is what you're paying for, compare emptying intervals in our guide to the best self-emptying robot vacuums.

Who Should Skip Dreame, and What to Buy Instead

Three gaps show up in Dreame's lineup.

  • You only need to vacuum. All 7 Dreame models are combos. The Shark Navigator RV2110 is vacuum-only and lists a HEPA filter and a self-cleaning brushroll. It holds 5.0 from 427 Google Shopping reviews at an entry-level price position.
  • You want HEPA filtration with a mopping dock. No Dreame lists HEPA. The Shark Stratos lists:
    • A HEPA filter
    • A bagless NeverTouch Self-Cleaning Base that empties, refills, washes and dries the mop
    • A 4.69 rating from 199 reviews
  • You use Siri. Dreame listings name Alexa or Google Assistant, never Siri. The Roomba Max 775 Combo lists Siri alongside Google Assistant and Alexa, plus an AutoWash Dock with a heated PowerSpin Roller Mop. Its 4.43 rating rests on just 44 reviews.

How We Picked

Picks come from current product listings, spec fields and Google Shopping shopper ratings with review counts, as of October 2026. We weighed each Dreame model on:

  • Fit for a specific need
  • The spec evidence behind that need
  • Rating strength (gaps under 0.2 stars, or fewer than about 20 reviews, count as ties)
  • Price position within the lineup

This is a research guide, not hands-on testing. Card prices update live, and missing specs appear as "Not listed." To compare all brands, see our best robot vacuums of 2026.

Bottom Line: Which Dreame Robot Vacuum to Buy

Buy the Dreame D30 Ultra if you want the lineup's best-rated model, with 25,000Pa listed suction and a dock that auto-empties and washes and dries the mop. If you'd rather pay less or want a pet mode, choose the L10s Ultra Gen 2: it has by far the most shopper reviews in the lineup and a lower price position. If you only need vacuuming, want HEPA filtration or rely on Siri, the Shark and Roomba alternatives above are a better fit.

Frequently asked questions

Which Dreame robot vacuum is best for pet hair?
The L10s Ultra Gen 2 is the strongest pet pick in our data. Its listing marks it For Pets, names a Pet Area Care Mode, and holds 4.59 stars from 2,699 Google Shopping reviews. The L40 Ultra Gen 2 also lists pet owners as typical users and 25,000 Pa suction, but it rates 3.83 from 66 reviews.
Do Dreame robot vacuums need bags?
The listings don't say. Four Dreame models list auto-empty or dust disposal: the D30 Ultra, L10s Ultra Gen 2, D20 Pro Plus and X50 Ultra. None states whether its base is bagless or bagged, so check the product page and Dreame's site for the bag type and whether replacement bags are sold for your model.
Is Dreame better than Shark for a robot vacuum and mop?
It depends on what you prioritize. Dreame combos list suction in Pa, up to 25,000 Pa, and the D30 Ultra carries a 4.87 rating. Shark combos such as the Stratos and Matrix Plus list HEPA filters and bagless bases, which no Dreame listing names. Shark doesn't list suction in comparable units, so compare the two brands on features, not power.
Are Dreame robot vacuums good for carpet?
Several list carpet-specific features. The L40 Ultra Gen 2 lists Carpets as its surface type and customizable carpet care, the L10s Ultra Gen 2 lists Smart Carpet Strategy, and the X40 Ultra lists a removable, liftable mop. Every Dreame in our data also mops, so homes that are nearly all carpet may get better value from a vacuum-only robot.
